Context
As part of the wider M6 infrastructure works, significant new parklands and shared pathways were established within the Rockdale Bicentennial Park precinct. The landscaping scope required products that would support plant establishment, softscape protection and ground stabalisation in a high-use urban environment.
Products Used
To assist with planting success and site stability, the following All Stake Supply products were selected and supplied for the project:
Terraform Buckets – Used to create ideal planting conditions and improve long-term moisture retention around new trees.
Native Tablets & Ocean Complex Soil Amendments – Incorporated at planting to enhance soil nutrition and early growth performance.
Hardwood Stakes & Hessian Tree Ties – Installed to support saplings and protect them from movement or damage during establishment.
Coir Matting – Used on riverbank surrounds and open areas to reduce surface disturbance and aid natural turf establishment through the matting.
Metal Pins – Securing matting and other softscape products to ensure consistent installation and long-term performance.
Why These Solutions
This range of products was chosen to offer a combined solution that supports both plant establishment and ground integrity. Soil enhancement products improved early growth conditions, while physical support and stabalisation products protected plantings and vulnerable areas during and after installation.
Outcome
By integrating these solutions, the site achieved a structured and resilient landscape that promotes healthy vegetation growth and long-term sustainability. The approach demonstrates how a tailored combination of plant support, soil improvement and erosion control products can contribute to successful urban landscaping on major infrastructure projects.
