Context
The Mamre Road Upgrade is a major civil infrastructure project currently being completed in Western Sydney. Due to the scale of earthworks and open drainage along the corridor, erosion and sediment control measures were required throughout multiple stages of construction.
All Stake Supply provided a range of natural erosion control and stabilisation products to assist with long-term ground stability and support site management.
Products Used
To assist with planting success and site stability, the following All Stake Supply products were selected and supplied for the project:
200mm x 3m Coir Fibre Logs - Used along drainage lines and flow paths to define channels and assist with sediment control.
Jute Soil-Saving Bales - Installed to slow water movement, capture sediment and protect exposed soil surfaces during construction.
Hardwood Stakes – 50 x 25 x 450mm - Used to secure coir logs and jute bales in place, ensuring stability under site conditions.
Alongside this, a few thousand additional coir fibre logs are scheduled for installation as the project progresses.
Why These Products Were Selected
A combination of coir fibre logs, jute soil-saving bales and hardwood stakes was selected to provide immediate stabilisation using biodegradable, natural materials suited to large road upgrade environments.

Outcome
The erosion and sediment control measures installed along the Mamre Road Upgrade have helped establish stable drainage and soil conditions throughout the construction phase. These solutions support ongoing works while preparing the site for long-term environmental outcomes following completion of the road upgrade.
