Paul Greenaway uses ASSETS

Paul Greenaway of Greenaway Sediment Control has recently used premium grade silt fence from All Stake Supply Environmental Terrain Solutions (ASSETS) in a major golf course project.
Lynwood Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course situated at Pitt Town in Sydney's northwest. In the development of the course, erosion control was particularly important for Lynwood, considering the course's close proximity to the environmentally sensitive Hawkesbury River. During the project it was essential that preventative measures be put in place to prevent site runoff flowing into the waterway.
Greenaway Sediment Control required a high quality and easily installed solution to prevent sediment runoff, and it was for these reasons premium grade silt fences were chosen for the project.
Made from woven mesh filter fibre, UV stable silt fences are designed to contain sediment whilst allowing drainage, making them ideal for a range of outdoor applications. And while manual installation of silt fences was previously a laborious and time-consuming task, Mr. Greenaway removed the hassle by using new equipment to automate the process.
The silt fence was buried 200mm underground, and secured by staples to the Hardwood pegs which are spaced at three metre intervals for optimum effect. As a further measure, tensile wire was used in conjunction with the hardwood pegs to secure the silt fence at the worksite. By ensuring the installation of the silt fence was done correctly, Mr. Greenaway made certain the silt fence would effectively capture sediment whilst allowing drainage.
